This is an early Georgian table writing box in satinwood. The lid features intricate banding surrounding an large, impressive hot sand process inlay cartouche. This box is an extremely rare and desirable survivor, dating about 1780-1790. The writing box has two internal drawers. This box has been expertly and lovingly restored.
